The story

I visited El Calafate for a photographic trip around Patagonia. Before arriving I had contacted a local timber merchant who suggested a visit to their lumber yard. They had some reclaimed flooring which was a mix of two Argentinian hardwoods which was stunning. I bought it back with me and the treated well worn wood has made some wonderful pens.

On the lathe

Great to turn and takes a friction polish really well creating a hard wearing finish.
